After leaving Berlin I only had two days left in London. It was sad packing up my things and saying goodbye to Wendy, my wonderful land lady, but I couldn’t wait to go home. Wendy drove me to Heathrow and I was surprised that I wasn’t in complete tears when we said goodbye, but I think it’s because I know I will absolutely return to London and we will cross paths again. But, while I was waiting for my plane I definitely had moments where I was really nervous to see my family again. I have no idea why and I can’t explain it. That’s just how it is I guess after you haven’t seen anyone in close to seven months. My plane was flying into Boston and my dad would be there to pick me up, which I was excited about and also made waiting in U.S. Customs a living hell. It’s like “no, I don’t want to hear your lame joke about me missing America” because honestly I didn’t. I just missed my family, my cat, and friends… and pizza. Ugh. Anyway, dad was there to pick me up and we had a lovely hour long drive through Massachusetts and back to my little tiny baby Ocean State.
